Bridging The Gap Between Eastern And Western Medicine
In a city surrounded by bridges and water everywhere, the importance of safely traversing both literal and metaphorical gaps is well understood. Despite being an eastern medicine practitioner, my educational background is solidly in western science and I'm in the medical academic literature constantly when treating patients for a variety of reasons. So I fully understand there is a time and place for allopathic medicine and am grateful for its advances over the last 100 years in emergency medicine and necessary surgeries.
However, for symptoms of chronic illness and pain Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) shines, where allopathic treatment is often weak. TCM practitioners have numerous tools in our toolbox (acupuncture, herbs, moxa, cupping, diet, movement and massage techniques) suited to assist patients, who sometimes have been suffering from a variety of health struggles and pain for years, towards a healthy, pain free existence.
My goal is to put myself out of a job with every patient I treat. My hope is after we work together you will no longer need my services. Although many patients choose to come in for maintenance treatments after their initial treatment plan, they do so because they enjoy the results of acupuncture, cupping, moxa or their herbal formula and want to prevent issues in the future. They use it as a part of maintaining their new found health, not because they have a dependency on it in order to feel good.
My goal is to help you achieve optimum health and wellness that is affordable. Having evolved over thousands of years, acupuncture is one of the oldest continually practiced medical modalities in the world. Acupuncture is used to prevent and treat disease, relieve pain, balance mood, enhance athletic performance, increase fertility, and improve overall health and wellness.
Modern research has shown that acupuncture is a safe, effective, chemical-free way to
promote your body's self-healing abilities.

An acupuncture treatment involves the insertion and manipulation of flexible, hair-thin needles at specific points on the body. Most patients find acupuncture deeply relaxing both mentally and physically and often fall asleep during their treatment.

Community Acupuncture For The Cost Of A Co-Pay
Acupuncture offers the ability to provide effective, safe, and sustainable healthcare. However, in most forms in the United States, it is offered at rates that are too expensive for the majority of the population to afford as a viable healthcare option. Wilmington Acupuncture Studio plans to add a community clinic in the near future. This clinic option will provide acupuncture in a peaceful community setting that allows for each patient to pay $35 Per Treatment.
Although, many people may feel great results from a single treatment, acupuncture is a process not a magic bullet. When treating any health concerns, especially chronic issues, acupuncture is most effective when done frequently in the beginning. Our community acupuncture rate allows you to come as often as needed to get the health benefits acupuncture often has the ability to provide.

Collaborative Medicine
"I always consider the patient the expert of their own body. While, on the other hand, I have worked for nearly 20 years to grow my knowledge of human health from both the Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective as well as the western medical paradigm. Together we use our mutual expertise to design the best path towards healing for each patient."
